How Wordle works
Wordle, by Josh Wardle, launched publicly in October 2021. The New York Times Company bought it in January 2022 for a “low seven-figure sum.” Players get six tries at one shared five-letter word each day.
- Type a valid five-letter word and press Enter.
- Green means correct letter and place; yellow means the letter is in the word; grey means it is not.
- You have six tries. Everyone in a timezone gets the same daily word. Play on NYT Games — this page cannot embed it.

Practice: No separate unlimited mode was documented in the checked sources.
Hints and solvers: This directory does not host a solver or reveal answers. Use the game's own clues first; third-party solver links can contain spoilers and may not be maintained. NYT publishes WordleBot as a post-game analyzer, not a spoiler tool.
